Connecting the

8 Ways of Aboriginal Learning

For me to connect the 8 ways of Aboriginal learning into my chosen topic/enquiry is by interviewing local Indigenous community people who work with Indigenous students and incorporate questions related to culture, country and ways of communicating through language to create trust, rapport and respect to then support students to have positive outcomes in and at school.

In doing so tasks have been created with each interview that incorporates questions for a class to discuss and answer along with additional brain breaks, fun activities and additional support and resources.

Story sharing - Indigenous people sharing stories

Land Links - Recording and filming on Country

Non-verbal - asking questions about non-verbal communication and putting it into the resources. Using our hands for the resources

Community Links - Interviewing people that have connection to the local community and the students.

Deconstruct Reconstruct - Breaking down the questions to discuss ideas and thoughts to then be collated and collaborated to answer the questions asked.
